In 2005 SGF started the initiative "Fruit Risk Assessment Project for Pesticides" (FRAPP).
SGF/IRMA members worldwide are involved in collecting documentation about real application of plant protection in different growing areas.
SGF developed an Excel input form for the data collection. This form is available in 5 different languages under download area/project information.
The collected pesticides documentation is compiled in a regional and fruit specific database. It enables an improved risk management in the interest of the industry and consumers.
Objectives:
Consumer protection
Increase of analytical efficiency
Reduction of analytical costs
Harmonisation of pesticide applications with the European standards
Industry support in problems due to not harmonised MRLs on global scale.
