Besides monitoring the raw materials through the processing to the retail shelves and advising its members on all issues regarding the quality of this industry’s products, SGF is also involved in several studies and (research) projects.

The already successfully completed EU projects BCR, FLAIR, AIR, SMT4 and Pure Juice are dealing with the development or validation of new analysis methods and the investigation of the influence new production methods might have on the quality of the finished products.

As pioneer of industrial self-control, SGF supports within the scope of its quality initiative “QUISEE” the set-up of local control systems and implementation of European quality standards in particular in the EU candidate countries and in South Europe.
